To some, politics should be a four letter word, but to me it is what allows Americans to be free. It is sad that many who hold political opinions do so with blinders on, Perhaps their daddy or grand pappy was of a certain political party and they don’t want to upset the cart, and therefore don’t think for themselves. No one will ever hear me say, throw all of the politicians out and start over, because I consider that a cop out. It is our job as citizens to weed thru them and cull out the bad ones, not throw them all out just because people are too weak to admit that it is their representative or senator who needs to go. That said there is a lot of abuse of power out there, this and political bickering is going to kill this country and the blame will fall squarely on the shoulders of the voters who did not take their responsibility seriously.
I have been involved with politics all of my adult life. I have run for office twice but have come to the conclusion that I am a better campaign manager then I am a candidate. I enjoy a good political fight and have been behind a few successful campaigns. I look forward for the chance to help others reach their political goals.
So where do I stand on the issues? I tell people to look down at their shoes then to take what is in those shoes and enjoy all of the opportunities America has to offer. I also tell people all they are guaranteed to have is what is in their shoes. Don’t expect others do provide for them.
Here are a few examples of how I stand on issues:
As far as racism goes, I believe that this is a raciest country. The election of the first black President is a perfect example. We elected a man on the color of his skin rather than the notions he carries between his ears. Furthermore the mainstream media did not do their duty and point out these notions during the election. In fact if anyone in the alternative media attempted to point out such things they were severely criticized. Political correctness has brain washed us into thinking that any negative opinions of a black man are raciest. I even find myself going out of my way to acknowledge a black man before a white man. We were brought up with the notion that unless you can walk in the shoes of a black man you cannot know how bad he has it. I have come to the conclusion that until a black man can walk in my shoes he won’t know how good he has it. What I mean here is that some people are just plain hateful. We all experience those who look down at us, whether it be a waitress or co-worker etc., and with all of the preaching about racism it is impossible for the black man to know what is directed at him because of the color of his skin and what is just a hateful person to begin with.
College tuition. I believe that college should be accessible to everyone and it is. The question is who pays for it? It is my opinion that the student should. Perhaps we should make loans availed to everyone who wants to better themselves through education but they need to pay them back. I mean come on now is it not the goal here to raise decent young men and women? My wife and I told our children two things when it came to going to college. First they needed to go. Second they needed to pay for it themselves. We did after all raise them to be functional humans with good work ethics and wherewithal to think independently.
Taxing savings and death taxes: Joe Blow goes to work every day and load feed bags on a truck. He has contracted with XYZ Feeds to do this in exchange for money. That is the way I look at jobs. Joe goes home every night sore and tired. While Joe is busting his ass for a dollar and paying taxes for his labor, Thurston Camelot the third is living off of a trust from his grandpappy made 90 years ago. Since Thurston’s money is not from working it is not taxed the same. There has been a big push to reduce Thurston’s taxes because somehow people have been convinced that this is fair. Bull!
This is how I look at it. First, if you earn money you should be able to keep it. It is, after all, yours! When you die very little should be passed on to your heirs. The reason for this is important. If you sucked as a parent and did not raise productive children then let them wither on the vine instead of buying their way into American politics. Second, if you know that you can’t pass it on to your delinquent heirs then maybe you will spend it. This is good for the economy. The winner will be the one who made the most money but died broke.
