Work History:

2000-2009 Owner of repair shop in Stephenville TX. Established relationships with customers and repaired farm and heavy equipment both in shop and in the field, Repairs include engine and transmission rebuilds, A/C repair, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair and weld and fabricate parts as needed. We also had a small machine shop that we used to fabricate small parts and build hydraulic cylinders. Maintain parts inventory and small parts department for over the counter sales. The uncertainty in the economy these past two years influenced us to sell out.

1994-2001 Equipment mechanic in Fort Worth Texas: Mechanic first on smaller Yale forklifts then on larger Taylor forklifts Ottawa yard trucks and Trackmobile railcar movers. I did field service to equipment covering an area from Fort Worth into New Mexico Oklahoma and Kansas.

1992-1994 Owned Repair business Fixed heavy trucks, farm tractors and forklifts for several business in Brevard County FL. Closed the business to buy acreage in Texas and raise my kids there.

1989-1992 Cocoa Florida mechanic on a 40000 acre ranch and sod farm. Repaired tractors, heavy equipment and trucks. Left do to poor pay and to work as an independent mechanic.

1986 1989 Milk Processing Plant in Waldorf Maryland: Technician in the engineering department. Did repair to cause the milk processing plant to remain running, including, welding, hydraulics, trouble shooting three phase bottling equipment, general preventive maintenance, and electric fork lift repair . Left to move to Florida.

1981 1985 United States Air Force: Missile Maintenance Technician and then Trainer for the missile handling shop. Trained personnel in the tasks involved with transporting and installing the solid rocket downstages for the Minuteman Three missiles.

1981  Mechanic, fixed larger trucks and made them ready to sell. I left to join the Air Force.

1980 Tire shop: Change tires and did brake jobs while in High School. I left to take a job that was more challenging mechanically

 

Schooling:

1978-1981 High School in Maryland

1979-1981 Vocational Technical Center, Auto Mechanics

1982 US Air Force Technical school Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul IL. Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic principles and other classes relating to repair of Inter intercontinental Ballistic Missiles

1983-1984 County Community College Cheyenne Wyoming. I attended several classes including, welding, horse shoeing, Emergency Medical Technician and some basic college classes.

1988 Seminar for reading electrical schematics for Uniloy Blow Molding machine.

1992 thru 2000 I attended several schools relating to the work I did for a Yale, Taylor forklift and Trackmobile railcar mover dealer. Classes include: Electric forklift repair, Ottawa yard truck factory school, Trackmobile factory school and several Yale forklift classes.

 

 

Community Service:(past service) 
Trained to assist the Civil Defense in times of need including search and rescue and trained as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Rescue squad Volunteered a EMT, drivers instructor, and Engineer for volunteer ambulance service.

United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla,  Member of the flotilla.
