Our lives changed dramatically when we bought our Honda Gold Wing in 2006. We have become active in two motorcycle groups and have seen a lot of North America from a motorcycle. About the only complaint I hear from Kerry after a long trip is that we have to go back to work.

Motorcycling can be an inexpensive way to travel. We pull a trailer and do some camping along the way. If you are not big on camping consider that the money you save on fuel sure makes a hotel room more affordable. We have toured most of the east coast and have been into Canada.

We love how motorcycling allows us to feel and smell the environment we are riding in as opposed to being in a car. Along with easing down the road enjoying the sites we also have been know to rack up the miles on a days ride. We are members of the Iron Butt Association where we were required to have finished an Iron Butt ride where 1000 miles in 24 hours is the shortest.

There are several different lifestyles associated with motorcycling. like the leather wearing folks who putt to the nearest watering hole to hang out, or the crotch rocket riders on wonderful machines but have been given a bad rap by riders who endanger others on the road thru carelessness. There are also those who like to tour on motorcycle. That is the group Kerry and I fall into.
